(It's in pdf format)
Run Dufferin is a non-profit organization whose goal is to support and
promote health, fitness, community, and especially.... running in and
around Dufferin County.
This is also the home of our running group, the Dufferin Tornadoes.
Hidden away from the bustle of big cities and off the commuter corridors
lies the quiet community of Grand Valley.
Originating in the highlands of Dufferin County,
the Grand River, is the
largest river within Ontario's borders, and snakes its 300 kilometer journey to
Lake Erie.
On Friday May 31, 1985, 25 years ago, a deadly tornado cut through Grand Valley,
tearing straight down Amaranth Street and heading east. (

Running on the same path as that tornado, we will follow a scenic 10
kilometer route crossing the Grand River 4 times via 3 different bridges.
The Toronto Grey and Bruce Railway line paralleled the River, operating from
1870 till 1984. The Upper Grand Trailway Association now maintains this trail
which provides over a kilometer of our route.
